APC vows to rescue all kidnapped Chibok girls

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the rescue of two of the abducted Chibok girls by the Nigerian army.
The APC applauded the army for the rescue mission and urged other parents to keep their hopes alive as their children will be rescued.

The girls were abducted from their school by the dreaded Boko Haram sect from their school in 2014 and the two were rescued by the army in the space of one week.
Amina Ali one of the girls was rescued on Monday, May 16 while Serah Luka was rescued on Thursday, May 19 alongside other persons who were abducted by the terrorist group.
PM News reports that Mr Osita Okechukwu who is the spokesperson of the APC in the south east in a statement urged the parents not to lose hope and be steadfast.
“We laud the efforts of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG), the Nigeria Armed Forces, the JTF and the President for their fortitude, resilience and perseverance.
“Our message to the parents of the remaining school girls is that they should bear in mind that with God nothing is impossible.

“Their hope should not wane, as we have every hope that more girls will be rescued.’’
The statement said the news of the rescued girls by the military had restored faded hope and expressed optimism that it signalled the beginning of the return of more of the girls.
Meanwhile, Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, put smiles on the faces of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and victims of Boko Haram insurgency in Borno state.
This follows a report that the first lady on Thursday, May 19, donated five trucks of assorted relief materials to IDPs, likewise releasing N55 million to be shared among the parents of 219 Chibok missing schoolgirls, and those who lost their children during the attack on Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, where scores of students were massacred.
